This project also includes 0.076-meter pixel resolution (approximately 0.25-foot), 4-band orthoimages that covers select areas within the State of Delaware park system for the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Division of Parks and Recreation. With each of the 1,268 X 622.6-meters by 622.6-meters (0.388 square kilometers) orthoimage tiles providing imagery in blocks on the ground, the total of the collective area is approximately 492.0 square kilometers (189.96 square miles). The 0.25 meter pixel resolution ground sample distance (gsd) orthoimagery covers the entire State of Delaware. The 0.076-meter pixel resolution (gsd) orthoimagery covers select areas within the State of Delaware park system for the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Division of Parks and Recreation. The imagery was acquired on March 05, 09, 20 and 29, 2017. Surdex's proprietary "Grouping Tool" is a highly specialized tool that plays a key role in image processing and all phases of generating the orthoimagery that covers all project tiles. The initial radiometric adjustments were performed on the imagery for each flight line attempting to reach the best possible histogram. The rectification process and the radiometrically balanced imagery on each flight line was accomplished by utilizing the Grouping Tool. Once grouping is complete, the operator selected a representative image within each group to prototype the image enhancement settings. This image will have the greatest dynamic range and number of near neutral areas among group images. Gamma (brightness), color adjustments, and adjustment to neutral metrics are first performed. This is done by applying corrections to each image group, driving the complete mosaic to agree with the metrics. Most metrics are easily computed from histogram information, the exception being the measurement of neutral objects that require technician inspection. Mosaic seamlines are autogenerated joining the ADS100 imagery strips. An initial QA/QC was performed by the technician to ensure that the mosaic seamlines were appropriately placed and that there was appropriate imagery coverage. After the seamlines are manually reviewed and corrected, the final image mosaic is cut into client specific tiles. All imagery was Aero Triangulated and processed in required projection: Delaware State Plane - horizontal datum is NAD83 - vertical datum is NAVD88 - units are in meters. The created tiles are reviewed again for anomalies and interactive radiometric adjustment applied where needed. QA/QC was performed looking for anomalies, smears and other indications of problems within the digital orthophoto creation process, interactive radiometric adjustment applied where needed.
